(KNSI) – Police and school officials are holding a presentation to help keep children safe from sexual exploitation. The presentation – Online Safety and Healthy Relationships – will be on Tuesday, February 22, at 7 p.m. at the Sartell High School Performing Arts Center.

The Sartell Police Department and Sartell-St. Stephen School District invites parents, guardians, students, and staff to the presentation with Special Agent Nick Riba from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Kate LePage from Safe Harbor Minnesota.

Riba is a Special Agent with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension assigned to the Predatory Crimes Section. He has more than 20 years of experience investigating human and sex trafficking, internet crimes against children, predatory offenders, and training state and local agencies.

LePage is a regional navigator with Safe Harbor who provides referrals to services and education and training on sexual exploitation. She’s worked with young victims of sexual assault and commercial sexual exploitation.

All are welcome to attend, and the event is free.
