(KNSI) – St. Cloud police officers have cleared the scene after an unfounded possible gun call.
SCPD says shortly before 2:45 p.m. Friday, a motorist on Highway 15 called police saying they had seen two men who were carrying long objects that looked like guns. They were walking eastbound across the walk bridge over Highway 15 near 10th Street North. SCPD says it only received one call regarding the sighting.
Authorities say officers checked the area but did not find any people matching the caller’s description. The scene was cleared.
SCPD reports that it notified Apollo High School and North Jr. High School about the possible gun call, and the schools “implemented precautionary security measures.”
