(KNSI) – The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch covering parts of central Minnesota, including Stearns, Sherburne and Wright counties.
The watch was issued by the Storm Prediction Center at 3:25 p.m. and remains in effect until 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5th.
Forecasters say scattered thunderstorms remain possible through the evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail and damaging wind gusts.
A watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather to develop.
Residents in the affected counties are encouraged to stay alert, keep an eye on changing conditions and have a reliable way to receive warnings if they are issued.
