(KNSI) – A community development group in St. Cloud has been honored for its electronic newsletter that kept the business community updated during the start of the COVID pandemic.
The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation (GSDC) received a Bronze Rank for its GSDC eBriefings in the Magazine and Newsletter category from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
According to a press release, in early 2020, the eBriefings were used to help businesspeople overwhelmed by executive orders, federal and state mandates, and other challenges. The GSDC published eBriefings daily for three months to keep organizations up to date on time-sensitive information.
“GSDC investors told us often that our eBriefings helped them identify resources and make critical adjustments to their organizations during this pandemic, so having the International Economic Development Council also notice the value of those frequent communications is doubly gratifying,” said GSDC Board Chair Brian Myres.
The GSDC continues to distribute eBriefings once a week.
The award was presented during the IEDC’s Annual Conference on Tuesday.
According to the press release, the IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize the world’s best economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials and the year’s most influential leaders.
