Diebold says the owners worked with the city to purchase the former Press Bar lot as well. He says the plan is to turn it into outdoor patio seating with a roof deck and park land.

In May, Andrew Welsh, the former owner of the Press, pleaded guilty to one count of arson for torching the bar. Federal prosecutors say Welsh set the fire to collect $1.4 million in insurance money. A sentencing date has not been scheduled.
