Big Lake Woman Seriously Injured in Benton County Crash

(KNSI) – A 25-year-old Big Lake woman was seriously injured in a crash Thursday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford commercial truck driven by Andrew Himel of St. Joseph went through the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 95 and Highway 25 in St. George Township in Benton County about 6:45. Investigators say the truck then crashed into a Chevy Silverado and a Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Silverado, Rebecca Kalstad, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 2-year-old girl in the Silverado was not hurt. A 54-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Camry, 41-year-old Jamie Martinson, was not hurt.
