(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,197 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths from the novel coronavirus Monday.
Today’s newly confirmed cases include 115 found in the five-county St. Cloud area: 12 in Benton County, four in Morrison County, 35 in Sherburne County, 30 in Stearns County and 34 in Wright County.
Statewide, 613 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19, down from a springtime high of about 700 hospitalizations a week ago.
The state also saw a considerable bump in people getting vaccinated over the weekend: 2,459499 Minnesotans are now vaccinated with at least one dose. That’s just under 56 percent of state residents 16 and older. More than 1.8 million of those recipients are fully vaccinated, and more than 86 percent of Minnesota’s senior population is now vaccinated.
