(KNSI) – A Little Falls man died after being hit by a train Wednesday night.
Police were called to the tracks near 9th Avenue and Lindbergh Drive Northwest in Little Falls around 9:45 on September 30th, in response to a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a train.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified him as 45-year-old Thomas Balaski.
His body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an examination.
Police haven’t said what led up to the incident, and it remains under investigation.
The Minnesota State Patrol, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Little Falls Fire Department assisted at the scene.
