(KNSI) – Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor will join a local lawmaker in a virtual listening session focused on its budget.
You can voice your thoughts on how Minnesota spends taxpayer’s money to St. Cloud area Representative Dan Wolgamott Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan.
Wolgamott is hosting the listening session at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
“This will be the most crucial budget of our generation as it will impact Minnesota’s ability to overcome the historic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Rep. Wolgamott.
“I’ve invited Lt. Governor Flanagan to join me in listening to your budget priorities so we can take them back to the Capitol and fight for a budget that fulfills the needs of the people of St. Cloud.”
The DFL version proposes raising taxes on the wealthiest Minnesotans and large companies.
The Republican plan would rely on the $1.6 billion budget surplus and the $4.8 billion in federal aid coming to Minnesota.
The listening session will be broadcast using Zoom and Wolgamott’s Facebook Page.
