(KNSI) – When it comes to boys’ soccer in the state of Minnesota, there is not a scoring record that doesn’t have Jacob Oliver’s name next to it.
The St. Cloud Cathedral standout kept his stellar senior season on the pitch going Tuesday night with a pair of goals in a Section 8A championship game victory. Oliver now holds the Minnesota State High School League all-time mark for career goals, career points, and goals in a single season.
Oliver came into the season in August just hoping to get to the century mark in tallies. He blew through that honor and never looked back. Oliver has amassed an eye-popping 51 goals in 2025, pushing his high school numbers to 134 goals in total. When you add in assists, he is at 186 career points.
Cathedral as a team has enjoyed another sterling year. At 17-1-1, they are state tournament bound again.
