(KNSI) — OK. So, bonus summer is over.
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory and a freeze warning for parts of central Minnesota. Temperatures could fall to around 32 degrees overnight, leading to frost formation.
Counties under the frost advisory, which goes into effect at 2:00 a.m., include Sherburne and Stearns. Meanwhile, a freeze warning is in effect starting at midnight for Benton, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Morrison counties as temps are expected to fall below freezing and land in the upper 20s. Both will expire at 8:00 Wednesday morning.
Forecasters say this could damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants if they’re not covered or brought inside.
