(KNSI) – Coborn’s on Tuesday announced it helped make a “grrreat” donation to four local middle schools.
The grocery store chain and WK Kellogg Company are giving $12,000 to North and South Junior Highs in St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School, and Sartell Middle School via the Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Mission Tiger program.
The effort helps boost funding for sports programs at the schools, hoping to get kids involved outside of the classroom. It promotes fitness and physical exercise. To present the checks, Coborn’s welcomed officials from Kellogg’s to area stores. The first check presentation was on September 25th at the Cooper Avenue location. And, yes, Tony the Tiger was on hand.
Store director Adan Lachmansingh says, “This gift provides more children with the chance to develop valuable skills that go beyond sports, helping them as they grow and ultimately benefiting our communities.”
The other check ceremonies occurred over the weekend.
