SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) —
The Sauk Rapids Rice Storm defeated the Sartell St. Stephen Sabres in the Semifinals of the Section 8AAA tournament.
It was a tight game throughout the first half and the Storm led 24-23 at half.
The Storm built some separation between themselves and the Sabres in the second half and came away with a 59-52 victory.
Dominic Mathies led the way for the Storm with 19 points and was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
Gus Gunderson led the Sabres in scoring with 17 points.
With the win, the Storm advance to the Section 8AAA Final on Friday night.
