(KNSI) — A semi truck hauling seltzers crashed into a median in Monticello Wednesday morning, sending cases of the beverage sailing, spilling the suds all over the road.
It happened just before 6:30 on Interstate 94 eastbound between exits 192 and 193 in the heart of the morning rush. The Minnesota State Patrol and Department of Transportation closed the road for several hours to clear the damaged truck, pick up the spilled load, and place the jersey barrier back in line after the impact pushed it toward the westbound lanes. The truck’s fuel tanks were also damaged, and officials say some diesel did leak.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
