(KNSI) — The snow machines are going at Powder Ridge ski area in Kimball.

The blowers began whirring over the weekend, and on Sunday, operators opened some runs. Monday, December 2nd, the hills will be closed to get them ready for the full season, but they are expected to open Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. According to the website, the beginner hill, outback, single cedar and chute will open. The J-bar, beginner hill tow rope and quad chair lift are also expected to be available.

A limited number of tickets will be sold, so it is strongly encouraged to buy ahead of time to guarantee a spot. Early season lift tickets and rentals are $21 each. Paying at the counter will cost $10 more this year.

The tentative opening date for the ever popular snow tubing park is December 26th.
