(KNSI) – The Tri-County Humane Society has scheduled a series of low-cost microchip clinics around the area through September.

The clinic is on Thursday, June 4th, from 1:30 to 4:30 at the Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud.

Each microchip costs $10 plus tax. TCHS says microchips are the only permanent form of pet identification and are injected underneath the pet’s skin. Owner information can be retrieved via scanner, and the microchip will be registered during the clinic. All clinics are walk-in only.

Additional clinic dates and locations:

July 15th, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park
August 12th, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Waite Park Pavilion
September 26th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wilson Park in St. Cloud, as part of TCHS’ Companion Walk for Animals (Woofstock)

Microchips can also be scheduled by appointment at TCHS year-round for $20 plus tax by calling 320-252-0896.
