(KNSI) — A 501 C3 has been launched to get a model space shuttle from Florida to St. Cloud.
It’s called Inspiration Space Port.
Shuttle Inspiration never went to space, but it is a full-scale shuttle mockup adjacent to the Kennedy Space Center. It is being disassembled right now and is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
The shuttle is owned by a private party and is being donated for the project.
There is no timetable as to when it will start making its way to Minnesota, but once it’s here, it will stay on exhibition in St. Cloud.
