(KNSI) – A 24-year-old Detroit Lakes man died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Sauk Centre Township.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road 17, about two miles northwest of Sauk Centre, around 1:30 a.m. A caller said they came across an SUV in the right roadside ditch and a person on the road. The man was identified as Collin James Flynn.
He was driving a GMC Terrain when it went off the pavement and vaulted off a field approach before crashing back down and rolling several times. Flynn was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The accident is under investigation, but the sheriff’s office says that alcohol is suspected to be a factor.
The Sauk Centre Police Department and ambulance service assisted on the scene.
