(KNSI) – St. Joseph is celebrating winter all week long for Snowfest 2023.
St. Joe Parks and Recreations Director Rhonda Juell says the celebration starts Monday with the medallion hunt. “It will be in one of the nine parks that are in St. Joseph. The clues will come out daily at about 10:00 in the morning. And when they find it, they can text me and I will give them further instructions on how to claim their prize.”
Clues will be given out daily leading up to the weekend’s main events. Saturday features cookies, cocoa, face painting, figure skating demonstrations (12:30 p.m.), skating, sledding, snowshoeing, and snow painting from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park.
The fun continues from 3:00 to 6:00 with the Downtown Game Crawl. People can purchase a $5 punch card and then go to four participating businesses to collect a punch. Jupiter Moon will have a ring toss game, Sal’s will have yard pong, The Middy will have Jenga, and LaPlayette will have Guess Who games. Cards can be bought at any of the four stores. The money collected from the punch cards will be available at 6:00 p.m.
Sunday will go to the dogs with sled dog rides, dog training demonstrations and doggy pictures all at the St. Joseph Government Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
