(KNSI) – Rides, food, music. It’s all great, but what would a fair be with out the animals? What does it take to show an animal? We found out talking to Monica Schlough.
Monica has been showing animals with 4H for ten years, since she was four. She says she will be showing sheep and also her alpaca, Greta. The experience goes well beyond ribbons. Monica says, “llamas will always have a special place in my heart. They are so sensitive to emotion and the bond you build with them is so strong.”
The Benton County Fair runs August 4th through 8th. See the entire fair schedule here.
