(KNSI)- The Elk River Elks defeated the Sauk-Rapids Rice Storm in high school football action on Friday night.

The Storm led 38-24 at halftime thanks in large part to Alex Harren who had 3 touchdowns (2 on the ground and 1 receiving) and an interception in the first half.

For his efforts, Harren was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.

The Elks were led by running back Carter Otto who scored two touchdowns including a 74 yard receiving touchdown with 1:18 left in the game which sealed the victory for Elk River.

Elk River outscored Sauk Rapids 20-0 in the 2nd half en route to a 44-38 win.

The Storm’s next game is scheduled for Friday against St. Cloud Tech.
