(KNSI) – A special beer is being brewed to honor a central Minnesota businessman and support a great cause.
Bob Feuling owned Westside Liquors and died in February at 86. Myron Kottschade worked with him for 22 years and wanted to do something in Bob’s memory. He got in touch with Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake and came up with Bob Feuling Brown Ale.
“Whatever proceeds we’ve made off of this will go to March of Dimes. That was a charity near and dear to Bob’s heart, and if you don’t know much about Bob, he was big on charity and giving back. That was one of the organizations he was big on. ”
Four packs of the beer go on sale at all eight Westside Liquor locations on September 9th for $9.99. Kottschade says Bob was his mentor and he touched everyone he met.
“Anybody that knows Bob Feuling has a Bob Feuling story. So, you could pick up one of these four packs and, you know, meet up with a buddy and swap a Bob Feuling story. That’s kind of the ideal of it.”
The beer will also be available at eight bars across the region. They are Seven West Taphouse in St. Cloud, the Boulder Tap House in St. Cloud, Grizzlies in Waite Park, H.R. Pesty’s in Waite Park, the Hub Supper Club in Burtrum, Lucky Saloon in Swanville, the Pioneer place in St. Cloud and Rollies Rednecks and Longnecks in Sauk Rapids.
The Feuling family will meet on September 8th at Lupulin Brewing to try the beer before it is available to the public.
