(KNSI) – A Paynesville man suffered a severe leg injury after crashing his motorcycle near St. Martin. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 28000-block of County Road 12 around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday.
Deputies found a Harley Davidson motorcycle lying on its side in a driveway. The sheriff’s office says the driver had been going west when he had to slow down and put his foot on the road. Officials say his foot got caught under the bike, which caused him to put the bike down and call for help.
The driver was identified as 43-year-old Charlie McCool. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with a serious but non-life-threatening injury to his leg.
Investigators say alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
