(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area School District is set to host the 3rd Annual Minnesota Thought Leaders AI Summit at Apollo High School from Monday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 16.
The summit will bring together policymakers, community organizations, educators and business leaders from across the state to examine opportunities and challenges related to artificial intelligence. Over the two days, participants will attend more than 70 breakout sessions featuring topics such as public policy, educational leadership and workforce development.
Chris Agnew of Stanford SCALE Initiative and Matthew Winters of the Utah State Board of Education will speak at the summit to discuss the latest evidence on artificial intelligence and learning. Additional programming will include lightning rounds, in which practitioners from around the state will share what they have learned from implementing artificial intelligence.
According to a district press release, the summit is intended to be highly interactive, unlike traditional conferences. Participants are encouraged to engage not just as attendees, but also as researchers and collaborators who work together to develop solutions that can be applied in schools, businesses and communities.
“The conversations happening at Apollo High School next week are conversations Minnesota genuinely needs right now,” said District Superintendent Laurie Putnam. “Our hope is that people leave not only with new ideas, but with new partnerships and a shared commitment to ensuring AI serves learners, workers and communities well.”
