(KNSI) – Two dogs died after a fire started in a detached garage in St. Cloud.
According to the fire department critical incident report, firefighters were called to a home on the 2800-block of West St. Germain Street around 10 a.m. on Friday.
Fire crews put out the flames, and the St. Cloud Fire Marshal was called to investigate. The fire marshal says a space heater caused the fire. The fire was ruled accidental. The two dogs were inside the garage.
Animal control was called in for support. The SCFD says the damage was estimated at $24,000.
