(KNSI) — Four young women from central Minnesota are among ten named as finalists for the 73rd Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
Over the weekend, dairy princesses from across the state gathered for the annual May Leadership Event at the Delta Hotel in Minneapolis with the chance to compete for a spot as Princess Kay of the Milky Way and serve as the official ambassador for the dairy industry. Candidates were judged on their knowledge of the dairy industry, communication skills, and enthusiasm for promoting dairy.
The local finalists are:
Morgan Morrow; Princeton; daughter of Jim and Tina Morrow; representing Benton County
Isabella Schiffler; Albany; daughter of John and Kristie Schiffler; representing Stearns County
Jaiden Smith; Melrose; daughter of Jeremey and Emily Smith; representing Stearns County
Daisy Zimmermann; Sauk Centre; daughter of Mike and Lori Zimmermann; representing
Stearns County
To compete to be a finalist for Princess Kay of the Milky Way, each princess submitted an
application, participated in a professional interview, prepared and delivered a speech and participated in a mock media interview.
The 73rd Princess Kay of the Milky Way will be named on August 26th, 2026. All ten women will have their likeness carved in a 90 pound block of butter during the run of the Minnesota State Fair.
