(KNSI) – Stearns County will host its next tax foreclosure auction Tuesday, June 16. The event is an online public sale where buyers can purchase properties seized by the government due to prolonged non-payment of property taxes.
The county’s estimated market value sale will begin at 11 a.m. June 16 and close at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30. Opening bids will be set at the most recent assessed market value, as determined by the county assessor.
The county’s bid sale will run from 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, through 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31. Properties not sold during the initial sale will be offered in a second auction at newly established minimum bid amounts.
A full list of property information, including parcel numbers, legal descriptions and minimum bid prices will be available for preview beginning June 15 on the Public Surplus website. Those interested in registering or viewing properties scheduled for auction can do so here.
