(KNSI) – A Paynesville man is under arrest after allegedly setting his trailer home on fire.
A Stearns County criminal complaint says police responded to a fire Thursday morning on the 400 block of Minnie Street in Paynesville. Police arrived to find a trailer home fully engulfed in flames and saw 42-year-old Nicholas Kevin Voss near it. Police affirmed that the trailer was where Voss lived.
Voss allegedly told police that he started the fire.
The report says an officer noted that Voss smelled like gasoline, and when he was arrested and brought into custody, police allegedly found a lighter on him.
Voss is now in the Stearns County Jail and charged with first-degree arson of a dwelling.
