(KNSI) — A Minnesota company has acquired the iconic Moondance Jam Special Events and Festival Park in Walker, announcing plans to expand and revitalize the property.
According to a press release from the company, 47 Degrees North, the purchase of the venue was finalized on January 16th. The group has a background in major festival production, with prior involvement in WE Fest, North Dakota Country Fest, and XRoads 41.
Founding partner Anthony Zaudtke says the company takes the responsibility of operating the historic venue seriously. “We want to honor the foundation built here while introducing exciting new elements that ensure this venue and property remain a vibrant gathering place for future generations.”
Planned improvements include expanded seasonal camping, a new luxury glamping option, full-service wedding and private event hosting, and secure winter storage for RVs, trailers, and boats. The company also says it plans to have a wide variety of events year round with the lineup expected in the coming months.
The company says former owners Kathy and Bill Bieloh, transformed Moondance Jam into a premier music and events destination over their decades of ownership.
