(KNSI) – A nursing home worker has been honored as one of the best in her field.

Jeana Brown is a Care Manager at Good Shepherd Community Assisted Living in Sauk Rapids and was recently honored by LeadingAge Minnesota with the District D Caregiver of the Year Award. Brown was among seven selected for the regional award out of 60,000 statewide.

The award goes to those who demonstrate exceptional commitment to elderly patients and enrich their lives.

“On behalf of everyone who works and lives at Good Shepherd, we thank Jeana [Brown] for her unwavering commitment to professional caregiving and improving the lives of the older adults who live here,” said Assisted Living Program Director Haley Power.
