(KNSI) – Boys and girls in central Minnesota have a chance to learn firearm safety during the 10th annual Get Youth Outdoors Day in Clear Lake.
The nonprofit Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) will have trained volunteers providing hands-on directions to teach kids to shoot trap, and a .22 caliber rifle.
The event also includes conservation education and other outdoor learning opportunities. All supplies are provided at no charge, including a picnic lunch.
The event is Sunday, from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Wild Marsh Sporting Clays Shooting Facility, 13481 County Road 3 Southeast, Clear Lake.
According to a press release, the event will help promote the importance of educating a future generation of American hunters and recreational shooters from diverse communities and backgrounds.
