(KNSI) — Voting for this summer’s primary election starts today.

People can vote early with an absentee ballot at their local elections office. All voters have at least one location where they can vote early in person with an absentee ballot. Depending on where they live, there may be additional locations. Voting will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on Saturday, August 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Some local jurisdictions may provide additional absentee voting days or hours beyond the required days and times. Absentee ballots must be cast by 5:00 p.m. on August 8th. In-person voting is on August 9th.

Voters in Stearns County have a new place to cast their ballot. A voter can vote at the new St. Cloud City Hall or the Stearns County Service Center in Waite Park.

The Stearns County Administration Center in St. Cloud is no longer a voting location. For questions or an absentee ballot, call the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer’s office at 320-656-3920 or email elections@co.stearns.mn.us.
