(KNSI) — A 24-year-old from St. Cloud was arrested after police said he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators were looking into a separate case related to the nonconsensual dissemination of private images and possession of child pornography when they learned Jacob Jeaquan Young had sex with the teen. Police say Young and the girl are considered family or household members “pursuant to statute based on a significant sexual or romantic relationship.”
The girl allegedly admitted that she and Young made sex tapes but that the two of them were no longer in a relationship. Investigators say they spoke to the girl’s friends, including the person who took the videos, and they said Young was her boyfriend.
When Young was arrested, he said he didn’t know who the girl was. He is on probation for electronic solicitation of a minor and is a registered sex offender.
Young was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Bail has been set at $100,000 with conditions. He is due back in court on March 28th.
