(KNSI) — A 22-year-old has been charged after allegedly stealing money and a wallet from his grandfather.

According to the criminal complaint, a man called police and told them his grandson, Payton James Buersken-Azure, stole $100 out of his wallet on Saturday, March 12th, and then stole his wallet with credit cards inside on Monday, March 14th. The man told investigators when he called to cancel the cards; he was told that one of them had been used numerous times throughout the morning.

When police tracked Buersken-Azure down, he allegedly admitted to the thefts. He said he spent about $100 with the stolen credit card.

He has been charged with one misdemeanor count of theft and a gross misdemeanor count of financial transaction card fraud. Bail was set at $6,000.
