(KNSI) – The final year of construction on I-94 between Monticello and Clearwater will begin in April. Work should begin April 15th, and is projected to end August 13th.
According to a press release from Wright County, all traffic will move to the westbound lanes starting Monday, April 25th. There will be two lanes of traffic separated by a median. In case of accidents or stalls, tow trucks will be on-site during peak traffic hours.
The speed limit will be reduced to 60 miles per hour, but no ramp closures are expected.
By mid-July, there will be three lanes of eastbound traffic between Clearwater and Monticello. By August 13th, there will be traffic on both sides of the interstate.
