(KNSI) – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Central Minnesota. The National Weather Service says the advisory goes from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The warning covers Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Wright, Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties. The cities of St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Elk River, Litchfield and Willmar are included in the advisory.
Meteorologists say temperatures will fall in the low to mid-30s and result in frost forming. The frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation left uncovered. People are advised to take steps to protect tender plants from the cold.
