(KNSI) — An outside woodburner is believed to be the cause of a fire in Zion Township on Thursday morning.
Just before 10:00, a 911 call came in for a fire at a home on the 22000 block of 293rd Avenue. The caller said their attached garage was on fire with heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Paynesville Fire Department, Lake Henry Fire Department, St. Martin Fire Department, Chain of Lakes Fire Department, Richmond Fire Department, Belgrade Fire Department, and Paynesville Ambulance all responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported. The garage and home are considered a total loss.
