(KNSI) – The Paramount Center for the Arts 100th Anniversary Block Party has been moved indoors due to the threat of inclement weather. The party will no longer be held outside on West St. Germain Street.
According to the Paramount, based on the prediction for thunderstorms for Thursday, the decision has been made to move the block party performances inside to the Paramount Theatre. Masks will be required inside the Paramount Theatre.
The Paramount’s management says that the planned artists’ booths, food/drink vendors, and kids’ activities will not be possible due to space limitations.
All of the performances will still be free. However, space is limited. Seating in the theatre will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Paramount will be open from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, with the theatre doors opening 30 minutes before each performance.
The party begins at 3:30 p.m. with the family fun group Buckets N’ Boards. At 5:30 p.m., St. Cloud State University’s Nepalese Student Association will perform. At 7:00 p.m., there will be a program honoring covid heroes, and the evening concludes with the Killer Vees “I Am He Said” concert at 7:30 p.m.
