SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) —

The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated the Brainerd Warriors in extra innings on Thursday night.

Both starting pitchers had  great outings. Tigers starter Brady Kenning went 4 innings and gave up only a single run. Jack Schaefer threw 5 scoreless innings for the Warriors.

Brainerd struck first in the 4th inning on a Nathaniel Staehling RBI single. They added a run in the 5th inning on a Jack Schafer RBI sac-fly.

The Tigers scored a run in the 6th inning and went into the bottom of the 7th inning trailing 2-1.

In the 7th, the Tigers tied the score on a Hank Bulson RBI double.

With two men on in the 10th, Jaden Mendel hit a walk-off RBI single to give the Tigers a 3-2 win.

Jaden Mendel was named the All Star Trophies and Awards Player of the Game.

St. Cloud Tech’s next game is on Friday against Alexandria.
