(KNSI) – The inauguration of President Joe Biden seems to be striking a hopeful note with at least two Republicans from Minnesota’s congressional delegation.
Sixth District Congressman Tom Emmer issued a statement Wednesday wishing the President well and hoped they could find common ground and work together. The statement also said he was privileged to attend the inauguration and participate in the peaceful transfer of powers.
Seventh District Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach signed on to a letter sent to the President along with 16 other freshman GOP lawmakers congratulating him and saying they are hopeful they can work across the aisle.
