(KNSI) – St. Cloud-based Coborn’s, Inc. has named a new Chief Operating Officer.

As Coborn’s starts its 100th year in business, current Executive Vice President Dave Meyer will serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Meyer currently leads operations, human resources, workforce planning, fresh and center store merchandising, and marketing. He will also serve on the Board of Directors.

Company President and CEO Chris Coborn says Meyer “has proven to be a valuable asset to Coborn’s through his strong leadership, vision, and commitment to the company’s operational standards and growth. He has developed his leadership skills over his 35-year tenure with the company and has been a key part of our growth and success. His industry expertise and his commitment to our team will serve us well as our company continues to grow.”

Meyer has been with Coborn’s since 1985 as an evening shift manager and worked his way through the ranks as deli supervisor, district manager, vice president of operations, senior vice president, and executive vice president.

Meyer says he is “humbled by this opportunity to continue to serve in the leadership of our growing company.”

Coborn’s, Inc. is employee-owned and employs nearly 9,300 people with 59 stores in four states.
