(KNSI) – Stearns Bank is upping its match to $150,000 as early returns from this year’s community challenge come in at a record pace.

The Central Minnesota Community Foundation says the drive has already raised $352,000, with donations being accepted until December 31st. That means this year’s mark is already closing in on last year’s haul of $665,000.

Stearns Bank Chief Marketing Officer Rory Bidinger says, “With our increased donation, Stearns Bank’s goal is to further support the growing need of our local food shelves and we humbly ask for the continued support of the broader community to advance this effort.”

All donations go to the Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, and St. Joseph food shelves. If you are planning to contribute, send your gift to them directly with a note saying “ATTN: Stearns Bank Community Challenge.”
