(KNSI) – The Rocori Spartans defeated the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks in the Class 4a Section 8 championship.
The Spartans got a huge performance from quarterback Camdyn Bauer who had three touchdown passes and 200 yards.
Receiver Luke Humbert had 120 yards receiving including a 64 yard touchdown reception in the first half. He also scored a touchdown on the ground. He was named the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
Tucker Haakonson had two interceptions on defense and also ran for a touchdown on offense.
The lone touchdown for the Thunderhawks came via Dane Kennedy’s touchdown run in the first quarter. After that touchdown, Rocori outscored Grand Rapids 27-0 and came away with a convincing 34-6 win.
The Rocori Spartans are Section 8 4A Champions for the 2nd year in a row. Unfortunately, they will be unable to defend their State Title because of the Governor’s restrictions.
