(KNSI)- The St. Cloud Apollo Eagles defeated the Sauk Rapids Rice Storm in three sets on Thursday night in high school volleyball action.
The Eagles took an 11-1 lead in the first set. The Storm came back and tied the set at 19-19 but the Eagles finished set 1 on a 6-0 run to come away with a 25-19 win .
Apollo dominated set 2 by a score of 25-9.
Set 3 was a back and forth battle with the Eagles coming out on top 25-17.
The Eagles were led Noelle Hackenmueller who recorded 10 kills. For her efforts, she was named the All Star Trophies and Awards Player of the Game.
Apollo improves to 3-4 on the season while Sauk Rapids falls to 1-3.
