(KNSI) – Road construction starts today on County Highway 71 south of Richmond today.
Crews will start grubbing and clearing the highway as the first step toward reconstructing the roadway.
Stearns County says detour signs will be posted for the area, which runs from State Highway 23 to County Highway 49.
Though the road will be closed for most traffic, some local vehicle access to the businesses and homes along 71 will be open. The entire road reconstruction project is estimated to last through August.
