(KNSI) – A barn was destroyed in a fire near Holdingford Tuesday afternoon.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a blaze at 19304 430th Street at about 2:01 p.m. When they arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from several areas of a barn in the center of the property. The barn sat away from the home.
The Holdingford Fire Department responded and called in help from the Albany Fire Department. Crews from both departments worked to put out the flames, but the fire eventually engulfed the barn, causing it to collapse.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities believe it may have been electrical.
No injuries were reported in the sheriff’s office release.
