(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ latest fall color finder map shows about the northern half of the state at 75% to 100% peak color.

From Big Stone Lake State Park in Big Stone County, over to St. Croix State Park in Pine County is the place to go for a weekend leaf looking drive. The entire North Shore, Cass County, and Lake Itasca State Park are at full peak, as is Mille Lacs Kathio State Park. The fire tower there would be a great place for a photo opportunity.

Areas near Rochester, southern and southwestern parts of the state, the Minnesota River Valley, and a ring around St. Cloud are at about 75% of peak. St. Cloud itself is at about 50%.
