(KNSI) – Willmar Police have released the names of those involved in a triple shooting that left two men dead and a third fighting for his life, as they ask the public for help piecing together what happened.
Police say 19-year-old Alexis Antonio Quintanilla Deras and 20-year-old Yasir Diriye Kahin, both of Willmar, died in the shooting. The third victim, 19-year-old Giled Fahran Abdi, a former Willmar resident now living in Bloomington, was flown to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Officers were called to Rau Park at 8:00 p.m. Monday on a report of gunshots. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting, what each person did, and whether anyone else was involved.
Police are urging anyone who saw the shooting or has information to come forward, saying even details that seem minor could help detectives figure out what happened.
