(KNSI) – After a summer full of little explorers, the Great River Children’s Museum in St. Cloud is rolling up its sleeves and grabbing the mop.

The museum will close from Tuesday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 27th so staff and volunteers can tackle a top-to-bottom deep clean.

Museum officials say the week is set aside for the big jobs: the kind that take a large crew, plenty of elbow grease, and more than a quick wipe-down after closing time.

The timing is no accident. September lands right after the museum’s busy summer season but before fall and winter weather arrives, giving crews a window to get the heavy lifting done.

When the doors open again, museum leaders promise a clean, refreshed space ready for autumn adventures, and a fresh canvas for the next round of fingerprints.
