(KNSI) – Anyone with questions about Social Security can get some answers Thursday morning at St. Cloud State University.
AARP Minnesota and SCSU’s Center for Economic Education are hosting a free public discussion called “Social Security: Explained.” An SCSU economics professor will lead the conversation, covering how the program works, how it’s paid for and what it means for people planning for retirement.
The discussion will also look at population trends affecting the program and answer some of the most common questions people have about it. Organizers say the conversation will be practical and nonpartisan.
The event runs from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on September 17th, in Ringsmuth Auditorium (Room 122) inside the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center on the SCSU campus.
